In wholesale business the quality, infrastructure and business development are chosen as strategic development areas.
Quality
In spring 2010 the Group level quality program Five Star Company was launched. The chosen investments will be made in developing procedures, supervisory performance and the work community. The aim of the programme is to clarify the responsibilities of different roles as part of the pharmaceutical distribution chain and activities to secure patient safety.
In addition, improving the quality of the cold chain management for pharmaceuticals is a priority.
Infrastructure& Business development
Oriola-KD is creating reliable and intelligent IT environment and investing on state of the art logistics distribution network to support its’ business. In the wholesale business Oriola is also looking for new business models and expanding its’ exclusive brand assortment for example to the Russian markets.
Oriola-KD’s brand strategy
Oriola-KD has renewed its wholesale businesses brand. All wholesale businesses are rebranded to Oriola as of 2011.
