Cooperation negotiations concerning Hehku are completed – operations will end by the spring 2019
The cooperation negotiations regarding potential termination of the operations of Hehku started 26 November 2018 and have now been completed. As a result of the cooperation negotiations, operations of the company will end by the spring 2019 and employment of all approximately 100 employees will be terminated.
Hehku includes in total 19 stores, an online shop and corporate functions. The closing schedule of the stores will be specified later. Until that, the stores and the online shop serve customers normally.
Hehku Kauppa Oy is a joint venture of Oriola Corporation and Kesko Group in the field of health, beauty and wellbeing, established in March 2017. Hehku did not reach its business and financial targets. For this reason, the owners announced on 21 November 2018 that they will not make more investments to Hehku.
