Oriola’s medical translation services achieve ISO 17100 certification

ISO 17100 defines requirements for all key aspects of the translation process that directly affect quality and delivery. These include clearly documented workflows, qualified translators and revisors, mandatory revision steps, and systematic quality assurance throughout the translation lifecycle.
Operating in an industry where accuracy matters, Oriola’s Medical Translations team has long worked in line with the ISO 17100 requirements. The certification now provides independent confirmation that Oriola’s translation processes, the qualifications of its translators and revisors, and its ways of working meet the standard.
The certification process also supported continuous improvement. During the audit, concrete development opportunities were identified, enabling the team to further refine and strengthen existing practices.
"We knew our processes were already well structured and aligned with the standard, but the certification process helped us refine them even further. For our customers, ISO 17100 certification provides additional assurance of our consistently high quality translation services.” says Lotta Holmström, Team Lead, Medical Translation Services at Oriola.
ISO 17100 certification is particularly relevant in the pharmaceutical and health care context, where accurate and reliable translations play an important role in patient safety, regulatory compliance and clear communication.
With the certification, Oriola continues to strengthen its advisory services offering by providing translation services that are supported by documented processes, qualified professionals and independently verified quality management practices.
