Kronans Apotek pilots drop-in healthcare services

31.1.2019

Kronans Apotek, part of Oriola Corporation, has launched a pilot for offering drop-in healthcare services in cooperation with Swedish online medical center Doktor.se. Offering healthcare services in pharmacies improves accessibility of care and enables more flexible services for customers.

The pilot of the new drop-in service concept at two Kronans Apotek pharmacies in Stockholm lasts until 31 March. During the pilot, pharmacy customers are offered healthcare services, such as vaccinations, medication assessments and blood pressure measurements. The services are available without an appointment. Digital care services, such as advice, doctor appointments and prescription renewals, are offered in collaboration with Doktor.se.

“By offering care services in pharmacies, we can improve accessibility of healthcare services and contribute to making primary care more efficient. For our customers, drop-in services are flexible and convenient way to take care of their health. As a modern and customer-centric pharmacy, we want to develop our service offering based on our customers’ needs and strengthen our position in the healthcare chain,” says Anders Torell, Vice President, Business Area Consumer.

The decision of developing drop-in services further and expanding them to other pharmacies will be made after the pilot.

Examples of services in the pilot:

  • Medication assessment
  • Blood pressure measurement
  • Vaccination
  • Digital spirometry
  • Healthcare advice
  • Prescriptions and prescription renewal
