Oriola Corporation’s CEO to change
Robert Andersson leaves his position as President and CEO as of today 1 February and continues as an adviser to the Board of Directors until 31 July 2021. The recruitment process to find a new CEO is started. Juko Hakala, currently a member of Oriola’s Board of Directors, has been appointed interim CEO.
During Andersson’s time at Oriola, the company’s fundaments have been renewed and competitiveness strengthened, to form the basis for a successful way forward. An updated strategy, re-defined capabilities and improved customer experience have been important steps in the process. The company’s purpose ”Health for life”, defined in 2019, strongly guides the company and is visible in all operations.
“During the past three years, Oriola has been going through a challenging period due to a changing operating environment. I leave the position as Oriola’s CEO with a good mind. Thanks to the many structural reforms, Oriola is stronger than when I took over three years ago. I will support smooth transition as advisor to the Board of Directors. I want to thank the Group Management Team and all personnel for their work during challenging times, particularly during 2020,” says Robert Andersson.
“Oriola has an important role in healthcare sector and in the society overall. The company has developed significant capabilities over the recent years, for example in its Swedish online business. I look forward to leading the company and its key priorities for the transition period. I am not, however, available for the position of permanent CEO,” says Juko Hakala.

Juko Hakala has extensive experience in CEO and other leadership positions in listed companies in Finland and in the Nordic countries. He is also a board member in health sector companies.
