Oriola-KD Corporation Stock Exchange Release 6 October 2006 at 8.40 a.m.


The Chairman of the Board of Oriola-KD Corporation, Mr. Olli Riikkala, has
informed the company that he is hindered to participate in the work of the
Board due to his sick leave until the end of 2006. The Vice Chairman of the
Board, Mr. Antti Remes, will assume the Chairman's duties during the sick
leave.
