Oriola-KD supports Save the Children

7.12.2016

Oriola-KD participates in the Save the Children Christmas campaign in Finland and in Sweden.

In Finland, more than 100,000 children live in poor families. Prolonged poverty easily moves on from one generation to the next. Problems accumulate, especially for young people who have not been able to participate in secondary level studies due to poverty. The earlier the help reaches children, the better they are able to break the circle of poverty. Save the Children supports children and adolescents in need around Finland. The funds are used for example to support children’s hobby fees and adolescent’s upper secondary school or vocational studies.

Save the Children in Sweden supports refugee children and their families in crisis areas and along the escape routes and reception in Europe. The organization offers i.e. emergency help and protection against violence and abuse for families escaping the wars in Syria and Afghanistan. The organization also works for reuniting children with their parents, or to find relatives or foster families for children who have lost their parents. Save the Children’s regional offices and local associations across Sweden provides support to both unaccompanied minors and asylum-seeking children in the families and children who live without papers.

Oriola-KD wishes everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2017.
