Oriola and Tamro enter cooperation with the Swedish Regions

The pharmaceutical distributors Oriola Sweden AB ("Oriola") and Tamro AB ("Tamro") have entered into a collaboration with Sweden's Regions, which means that the pharmaceutical distributors on behalf of the Regions on an overall level (not numeric level) will compile the availability of central/critical medicines in the Swedish market.
The collaboration is part of the efforts of the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SKR) to secure the supply of pharmaceuticals for Swedish hospitals in the prevailing COVID-19 situation. The assignment will be done by the Regions providing Oriola and Tamro with information on critical medicines and an estimation of volume requirements. Oriola and Tamro will independently assess inventory levels and, if necessary, contact their respective pharmaceutical company customers to prevent the risk of a shortage and then give feedback to the Regions.
The Regions purchase of pharmaceuticals will be made directly from the pharmaceutical companies. The regions of Skåne, Stockholm, Västra Götaland and Östergötland have been commissioned by the other Regions in Sweden to implement the cooperation with Oriola and Tamro.
