Oriola’s sustainability performance has been recognised by ISS ESG Corporate Rating with the Prime C+ status. Oriola is among the highest decile in its sector, excelling in especially society and product responsibility and environmental management.

ISS ESG is a rating concept analysing company management of ESG issues based on up to 100 rating criteria, most of them sector specific. ISS ESG assists institutional investors in developing responsible investing policies and researching, analysing and screening for company performance, for example. The Prime status is awarded to companies with an ESG performance above the sector-specific Prime threshold, which means that they fulfil ambitious absolute performance requirements.

“We are extremely proud of this recognition to our long-term strategic sustainability work. Sustainability is integrated in our business as our services, such as pharmaceutical distribution, promote health and patient safety. We have several ambitious environmental targets, for example becoming a carbon neutral company in our own operations by 2025. We are continuously working to improve our sustainability performance,” says Sanna Veräjänkorva, Sustainability Manager.

Additionally, earlier in 2022 Oriola renewed its leader rating of AAA (on a scale of AAA-CCC) in the MSCI ESG Ratings assessment. MSCI ESG Ratings measure companies according to exposure to industry-specific environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and the ability to manage those risks relative to peers.
